Positions start at the top-left of your measured clear wall area. Frame edges are not hanging points. Hook positions appear only after you enter measured offsets.

A free gallery wall planner for the frames you already own

Frame Study lets you try arrangements at their real sizes before making marks on your wall. Use inches or centimeters, add up to 12 frames and move them into place. No account or payment is needed for this beta.

  1. Measure a clear rectangle. Enter the available width and height above your furniture. All placement distances start at the top-left corner of that rectangle.
  2. Measure the outside of each frame. Include its border. A frame sold for an 8 × 10 inch print may be larger on the outside.
  3. Try a layout. Drag frames or use the exact-position controls. Changing measurements keeps your positions; the arrangement buttons move all frames.
  4. Save a copy. Download an image or measurement table, print a plan, and download an editable project to continue later.

What should I check before hanging?

The preview uses the dimensions you enter. The diagram is scaled to fit the screen or printed page; follow the numbers, not a ruler placed on the printout. Frame-edge positions are not nail positions. You can enter one measured hanging point per frame; two-hook systems and perspective correction are not supported. Check the actual measurements and the instructions supplied with your hanging hardware.

Which photos can I use?

Use JPG, PNG or WebP files smaller than 20 MB. On an iPhone, convert HEIC images to JPG first. Images are resized for the preview. “Crop to fill” trims edges; “Fit whole photo” keeps the complete image visible inside the frame.

Where does my information go?

Your photos and project measurements are processed in your browser. This version does not upload them to a server. A draft, including preview copies of photos, is stored in this browser when space is available. Clearing site data removes the draft. Private browsing and storage limits can prevent saving; download an editable project to keep a copy.

This beta includes no advertising, third-party analytics scripts or tracking cookies. It counts a few actions in the current tab so you can include them in optional feedback. Those counts are not sent anywhere automatically and reset when the page reloads. A website hosting provider may keep standard request logs when serving the page.

You can email feedback to olegny22@gmail.com. The feedback form prepares a draft in your email app; you review and send it yourself. It includes your answers and action counts, without photos or project measurements. You can also copy or download the text. When you send an email, your email address and message are handled by your email provider and our Gmail inbox. Downloaded project files do contain your photos and measurements; share those files only when intended.

Mark your measured wall area

Tap the top-left, then the bottom-right of the clear area whose dimensions you entered. Use a straight-on photo: this tool does not correct perspective.
